While the uncertainties and caution of emerging from England’s first Covid-19 lockdown over the spring and summer played havoc with my artistic impulses, I still felt a need to be actively creative. So I turned to craft, and I learnt how to make a book in the classic European style – traditional hardback, using (homemade) bookcloth.
As I have neither written nor drawn anything suitable to “publish” in my books, I have been making blank sketchbooks. There are rather too many for me to use in the short term*, and so I am offering them up for sale – I’ve even put them in my shop.
They make great gifts, even if I do say so myself.
*I’m using the ones that weren’t quite good enough to sell.
